tweenage wasteland

This may come as a surprise to our *many* readers, but the three of us actually hang out. A lot. Too much. Jokes.
Take yesterday. After a ten o' clock breakfast, which an exhausted Rebecca was less than pleased to attend,  at one of our favorite diners (there are many), we went over to her house where we nostalgically watched some Lizzie McGuire via YouTube. After getting over the shock of watching Lizzie and Miranda crush on Danny Kessler rather than Ethan Kraft, Rebs showed us some of her latest Goodwill finds. They were unflattering and smelled weird. She claimed she was feelin' the vibes though and who were we to argue with that?
Then we roamed, which is what we do best. We got some salads at Hale & Hearty because we tend to eat when we're bored. Then, as an homage to Laney Boggs, we decided that we were in dire need of a makeover. We went into Sephora with the wide eyed innocence of 12-year-old girls watching Never Say Never. We coated one another's faces with Urban Decay products among others. Fiona and Rebecca used Carly as a guinea pig. Not that we support cosmetic companies who test on animals. We oppose it. That was just an analogy. We had a perfume spray-fight and a few manicure mishaps, and finally emerged glitter-faced and bright-lipped from Teenage Girl Heaven.
Inspired by the free samplin' at Sephora, Fiona and Rebecca headed over to Fairway with the sole intention of grabbing some free bread and olive oil samples. It was great but Fiona feared that the many homeless free sample consumers spread diseases into the bread basket. Neither one was that concerned though, and they ultimately went to town on the noshin'.
As if our day's activities weren't preteen-esque enough, Rebecca's mom then took us to the movies. We saw Crazy, Stupid, Love. Rebecca got annoyed because there shouldn't really be a comma after "Stupid." But whatever. It ROCKED! We fell crazily, stupidly in love with it. Fiona claimed  it number 18 on her favorite movie list, which coincidentally is her age as of TODAY! Happy birthday Fif!
Then we went our separate ways. Fiona and Carly hung out with our good friend Arielle, who you will most likely hear about because she's the guitar-playing rocker chick we all want to be and is perfectly well-rounded and has a boyfriend unlike any of the three of us. Rebecca went home and did yearbook stuff. Loser.
We reunited aujourd'hui, no worries.
Rebecca just got made fun of for being pretentious and using French. This happens often.

  1. Hello, we're doing a dissertation(at the university of Vigo) on the fashion blogs and their impact. We chose Tavi Gevinson as an example, and we're doing an interview with her followers. Could you help us?
    Thank you very much.

-How did you find Tavi's blog?
-Do you follow it every day? How often do you go in?
-Why do you think it became so famous?
-Have you influenced any of your purchases and dress?

:) Answer us here or to our mail: calpurniavee@gmail.com
