Hey, blogosphere! Welcome to our lives. You know how everyone in high school has a "thing"? A little niche that defines them? A hobby that they live for? Well, not us gals. Sure we've got passions: Netflix Instant, weird outfits, tween-style makeovers, and finding clever ways to insult one another. But to quote Lizzie McGuire (another love of ours), we would describe ourselves as "D, as in none of the above." We're not particularly athletic, nor are we known for our artistic abilities. We aren't queen bees and we aren't social zeros. We're somewhere in between: the Lindsay Weir types, finding our way through the dark jungle that is high school, and comparing ourselves to characters from short-lived teen dramas.
We're not exactly the same though.
There's Carly, the loudmouth of the group. Clouse, as we like to call her for no real reason at all, is confident, uninhibited, and occasionally embarrassing. She is absolutely obsessed with pop culture to the extent that she refers to the celebrity tabloid magazine as "my People" on a weekly basis. We love her and we love to make fun of her.
Then there's Fiona, the crazy-haired wild child. She defies the laws of time when she watches online TV: she went through all six seasons of Entourage in a record-breaking three days. She loves making jokes about illiteracy, though sometimes we don't get them. She also has issues typing, so you'll know which blog posts are hers when you see phrases like, "buffy lieks angle hes a vampire w a sole i mean no soul idk lol."
Lastly, we've got Rebecca, the quirkiest of the bunch. An awkward feminist bent on starting an all-girl folk band, she can be found in her bedroom either perusing fashion blogs or writing eery poetry. Her thirfted vibe-inspired ensembles stand out in our traditional New York prep school and range from fetishistic asian school girl to 90s grunge skinhead.
To more ranting, raving, and rockin' out...
